Membership Requirements
Active Tank Contractor Members
Active Members are independent business firms engaged in one or more of the following: (a) The business of supplying equipment for the storage, measurement, transport and dispensing of petroleum products. (b) The business of providing installation/removal services and/or equipment maintenance services for such equipment. Â To be eligible for active membership, an applicant must: (1) be an independent business firm, either corporation, partnership, or proprietorship, which operates, in whole or in part, within the state of Georgia; and (2) must have been in one of the above described businesses for a continuous period of at least one year or whose primary manager/owner has been in one of the above described businesses for a continuous period of at least one year. Active membership shall not be available to companies which are themselves engaged in the marketing of petroleum products. PLEASE NOTE: If you qualify as an Active Member based on the above, you must apply for Active Membership.
Associate Members
Associate Members are any firm, either corporation, partnership, or proprietorship, which is not eligible for Active Membership, but is identified with an allied industry, such as environmental consultants, legal and insurance firms, petroleum/environmental equipment manufacturers, manufacturers’ representatives, analytical laboratories and other firms that provide petroleum/environmental-related services. Associate membership shall not be available to companies which are themselves engaged in the marketing of petroleum products.
Membership Dues
Active Member Tank Contractor – ten or more field employees – The number of employees (including all branches in all states) who perform installation/service, tank testing, tank removal services, cathodic protection testing/services, tank compliance services including supervisors and managers is ten or more.
Dues are $1000
Active Member Tank Contractor – less than ten field employees – The number of employees (including all branches in all states) who perform installation/service, tank testing, tank removal services, cathodic protection testing/services, tank compliance services including supervisors and managers is five or less.
Dues are $500.
Associate Member –Â
Dues are $300.
NOTE: You cannot apply for Associate Membership if you qualify as an Active Member as defined above.
New: Individual Member Category: Operations and Engineering – To qualify as an operations and engineering member, you must be an individual who is employed by a company that stores, transports, meters or dispenses petroleum products. This person is the owner of such an operation facility or he is charged with the petroleum operations management of such a facility. Dues are $150
